Kevin W. Conner is the managing attorney at Merkel and Conner. A seasoned trial attorney with more than 30 years of experience, Kevin has built a reputation not just for his legal skill, but for his unwavering commitment to the people he serves.

Kevin has represented thousands of clients in personal injury cases involving automobile and motorcycle accidents, trucking collisions, and wrongful death claims. What sets Kevin apart is his client-first approach, he takes the time to truly listen, ensuring each person feels supported, understood, and empowered throughout their case. His clients often describe him as approachable, compassionate, and an advocate who genuinely cares about helping people get their lives back on track.

Licensed to practice law in both Oregon and Washington, Kevin is an active member of each state’s Bar Association. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 1993 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from McNeese State University in his hometown of Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Beyond his work in private practice, Kevin has served in a number of public service roles, including Tribal Prosecutor, Tribal Judge, and as a college professor and paralegal instructor. He is a proud member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum—an honor reserved for trial lawyers who have secured million-dollar verdicts and settlements.

Kevin brings the same dedication to his community that he does to his practice. He has served as an elected school board member and volunteered extensively with nonprofit organizations. A devoted husband and father, Kevin has been married to his wife Julie for over 35 years. They have three children and three grandchildren. He is also a lifelong sports enthusiast and has spent years coaching and running youth sports leagues, roles he cherishes as opportunities to give back and stay connected to local families.

In addition to his work at Merkel and Conner, Kevin is the founding attorney of Conner Law, PLLC, with offices in Mount Vernon and Vancouver, Washington, and a satellite office in Shoreline, Washington.
